"Caprica"
Got "Caprica" from NetFlix and watched last night.
It was competently, even stylishly shot & put together. But the story did absolutely nothing for me.
And am I the only one who found the relationships between the Eric Stoltz character and his mostly-dead daughter to be slightly creepy?
And, for being a robotics genius, I'm kind of amazed he has never heard of doing a BACK-UP before trying to download his daughter into a robot. But I can only suppose the producers decided not to address the issue that, given the tech that allows you to make a digital copy of a personality (or even a "soul ") the real breakthrough isn't that you could make A COPY of someone, but INFINITE COPIES of that person.
But that would be a different series than what they intend, which looks more like "The OC" than "Battlestar Galactica."
