Beach Reading II
Well, it rained all morning, so instead of the beach, we went shopping, then drove around the island, then more shopping, then we dropped off the rental car. John and I did walk down to the beach for a few minutes, ran into a friend we made yesterday, then came back.
I did read about a dozen pages of "Full Circle" today, as well as the opening pages of Michael Chabon's "The Yiddish Policeman's Union," which is absolutely amazing. I didn't read enough FC to form an opinion yet, except the opening scene is a bit romance-novelish for my taste. But I'm hopeful it will get better.
Oh, and we did upgrade the timeshare to a 2-bedroom unit, so next year we will have week 19 (it is currently week 17) and a MUCH nicer pad to look forward too. W00t!
