Biometric Tans

Went to the tanning place last night. I haven't been in a couple weeks, what with being sick & all, and I discover that they now have a FINGERPRINTING machine for customer identification.

Uh, no way I'm letting Tanning Spot have my biometrics.

So now I have to go and argue with the manager, that they need to either refund my 13 unused tans, or allow me to complete them without being fingerprinted.

Am I overreacting? is it now commonplace to be fingerprinted before being allowed to use the RUVA beds?

I hear you have to wear orange jumpsuits to shop at Wal-Mart.

OMG! We use biometric scanners for inmates (but of course we HAVE their fingerprints). They want that for a freakin' tan? I would so not give up yet another form of personal id to them. Just say NO!

The reason your tanning salon owner did this is because his little employees were giving free tanning to their friends. He got upset and his techy nephew told him this would be a great way to keep that from happening.

Yes, His Tech nephew.... I work with him.

It's time to nip this in the bud. Businesses need to get feedback when they go too far.

Too much, in my opinion. Plus... Utah and security? Doesn't seem to go together too well.

We will know the Al Qaeda operatives amongst us thanks to their pasty complexions!
