Funny you should bring these up. Just yesterday, I stumbled across "Star Trek: Countdown" as four downloadable issues on iPhone/iPod Touch App Store. I was curious about how this upcoming movie is supposed to explain apparent shifts from canon, and I'd heard "Countdown" is supposed to work as a prequel for the movie. Only three of the four "issues" are online so far, but for 99 cents each they're a deal. Beats spending several dollars each for them in print, anyway. The artwork's got its charm, and this story should flesh out Eric Bana's Nero character at least a little.
