The Ga-Ga's

A few weeks back, my buddy Laron came over and we watched his DVD of a Go-Go's live performance from their 2001 tour. I really loved the DVD, and we decided we wanted to form an all-bear Go-Go's cover band; I would be Belinda, Laron would be Gina, and we were just looking for Kathy, Jane and Charlotte to round out the band.

I mentioned the idea to my buddy SFRockbear on Bear411 and he told me about The Ga-Ga's.

DAMN! They're pretty good, too! Back to the drawing board...

Yuk! I hate bananas!

I loved the Go-Go's, was indifferent to Bananarama and HATED the Bangles.

Maybe an all-bear Runaways cover band? I want to be Cherie Currie!

Or on a slightly different tack, how about an all-bear New York Dolls cover band?

How about an all-bear Partridge Family? I find myself moving a lot like Danny whenever I play a song where I have to sing "ooooo's" and "aaaaaah's".

My aunt Genevieve was the script supervisor on "The Partridge Family." She was the first adult I ever heard describe someone as "the little shit," in reference to Bonaduce.

Oh, and I don't really hate bananas...
