The Top 100 songs from the year I graduated high school. If I like it, it is red. If I haven't heard of it I WHITE IT OUT LIKE THIS (you can highlight it to find the song name). If I fucking hate it it is green (not my favorite color except on grass, the color of bile). If I hate the song but not the group I will only green the song title.

This was 1978. By this time I was listening almost exclusively to "Trouser Press" Bands; Ira Robbins was my arbiter of musical taste.

My favorites from '78 were "Starry Eyes" by The Records, "Who Are You," and Clash singles like "Clash City Rockers" and "White Man in Hammersmith Palais."

I was only 18 and already a veteran hater of "top 40."
