Oh man, I've gone and done it now...

I booked my flight (and car rental) to go to San Francisco and see John Ashfield perform on the 13th!!

I'll be arriving on the 10th, leaving the 14th. I'll have a rental car for the weekend.

Any suggestions what I should do while I'm there? Apart from the performance, that is...

Any suggestions where I should stay? I didn't book a hotel yet. The TraveLodge is the cheapest. How disgusting is it? And, more important, do they have internet in the rooms...?

Hope to see you !!!

Todd, man, that's incredible devotion, to travel what I would consider a major distance to see a bear perform!!! VERY bearish, bro..
sure hope you're going to get your fair share of hugs but I can't really imagine otherwise.

Yay! I’ll be sure to attend that show! I mean, I see a lot of JA’s shows anyways, but seeing you there will be an added plus!

A popular place with the locals is the Best Western on the corner of Harrison and 9th. Nicknamed “Best Western Lone Star” for obvious reasons. (it’s on the same block!)

The Travelodge on Market? That place is a den of meth-using twinkie boys.

We won't be staying there, in that case!

Look at the Hotel Renoir... it's on Market Street near the Ramada, and a travel agent acquaintance of mine often books tours from Europe and Australia there. It's reasonably priced, too.

There's a Day's Inn on Grove Street, which is literally two blocks from me, and 6 blocks from the Cafe Du Nord.

One of these days I will somehow make acquaintance of John. I know of him through many music things (including Freddy and Bearapalooza) but have yet to actually meet him...

Anywho, I don't know or remember much about SF aside from Ghiradeli Square and... Pier 41? (Something like that) But I hope you enjoy yourself!
