daddytoddRon, John and I flew to San Francisco this morning for IBR 13. It was a remarkably pleasant flight: left on time, arrived early. Connections were smooth; the hotel got us into out rooms around 11am, and even put our 2 rooms on the same floor. SWEET!
We went out and ran errands (liquor store, tux rental, Walgreen's for juice and snacks...) Started chatting up bears immediately upon arrival. met Jay; he invited us to a room party. Bumped into Stevo from A Bear's Life magazine; he invited us to join him for dinner tonight at The Prime Rib. Bumped into Denver's legendary Van (pink_halen ) and Ron on the elevator. LOVE those guys!
We're thinking about taking John to the Lone Star tonight, after dinner, when there is still a fighting chance of getting through the door. He needs to see "Bear Mecca."
