So, we got everything moved out of the downstairs bedroom by Sunday morning, and I started pulling back the carpet.

I discovered quite a bit of water damage to the carpet and the outside wall of the bedroom. It appears we have 2 leakage issues: from outside, along that wall, and from the shower, which is between the closet and the outside wall.

So Ron started pulling down sheetrock to see how bad the damage is. It's not terrible, but it is a major issue. The entire wall of sheetrock will have to come down. Then we'll need to get someone in to take a look at it, and see how to stop the leaks.

The upside is, we caught it now, when we're gutting that room anyway. The downside is, we have to tear that room apart even worse than we were already planning.

I hope we can get the guy in soon to start the work.
