Saw Lindsey Buckingham last night. WOW! He was amazing!

I leaned over to Ron at one point and commented "He reminds me of Jeffery Altergott..."

We also amused ourselves by trying to guess which of the old Fleetwood Mac songs he performed were written about Stevie "I have always been a storm" Nicks. Pretty much everything from "Rumours" and "Tusk," we figured. Oh, and "Go Insane," for sure.

I must love you now.

:P

In a review early in my career, some reporter wrote that my voice was reminicent of Lindsey Buckingham. I've always loved his writing and his guitar playing.

If Buckingham wasn't a stone-cold loon, he might make records like yours. I mean, he even admitted to being "eccentric" last night.

Eccentric? He's batshit crazy, judging from songs like "Red Rover" and several others.

You have your own thing going on, and only bears a passing resemblance to Lindsey. I love your stuff. Is your new CD out yet? I need to get it!

And when I say 'batshit crazy," I mean it in the GOOD way! I'd go see him again in a heartbeat. He has amazing guitar technique. And he's #2 on my all-time list of great producers, right after Saint Brian of Wilson, just ahead of Curt Boettcher...

Lindsey is totally amazing live!

"Bat shit crazy" a good way to put it. I've seen him a few times, and everytime I think that. He has mellowed a bit, or maybe not mellowed but accepted who he is I guess.

His new cd is great!

I'm hoping to have a Lindsey song together for my set in slc.

I think his latest CD is brilliant, and very surprising. I really like it. His guitar playing is inspired!

It will be cool to hear you do a Buckingham tune. Are you ready to disclose which one, or do you prefer to make it a surprise?

It'll be a surprise because I still am not quite pulling it off. I have hopes though!

I saw him around 1990 on the "Out of the Cradle" tour (I think that was the year). Anyway, he was the opening act for Tina Turner at an outdoor ampitheatre outside of Kansas City. I was more excited to see him. Three songs in, my best friend from high school turned to me and said, "OK. You are right. He is one of the most underrated guitarist out there." Amazing stuff.

I can't find it, but he is nuts. A few days ago there was and article on-line somewhere about how he canceled a show in Lincoln, NE complaining about the sound gear. They referenced an earlier article where he was quoted as saying the gear didn't matter, it was about connecting with the audience and playing the music. They called him a DIVA. I just think he writes good music.

Oh yeah, I remember hearing about that. I thought there was something wrong with the sound on the first few numbers, but one of the people with me said "He's a total sonic perfectionist; that's exactly how he wants it to sound."

Heh heh, funny you should mention this...they played a tune from the Buckingham Nicks album on the radio this morning. There’s something people should be pounding on the walls of the record company to release on CD!

I'd love to hear it; I was looking at some of his other CDs online yesterday and was surprised I couldn't find Buckingham Nicks on CD.

The new pics are great, by the way. Bill takes amazing portraits; he really brings out an interesting (hot & sexy, but darkly so) quality in that latest set with you.

Bill is probably the best portraiteur (if that's even a word!) of bearish men in North America.

Yes if it isn't currently a word it should be! You've done a shoot with him? For some reason I get the impression that you have. i know I'd love to see you from the vantage point of his lens. ;-)
