Squeeze

Just got back to the hotel from seeing Squeeze tonight (who conveniently performed all of three whole blocks down Van Ness from our hotel).

They were AMAZING! Glenn Tilbrook's voice got better as the evening wore on, and all the musicians were great. Seriously, we were blown away!

No Jools Holland, unfortunately. I didn't recognize the keyboard player or the drummer; the bassist was John Bentley from the classic Argybargy line-up.

came across your lj and seems you're as into music as me so have added you as a friend;) Did Squeeze play either Cool For Cats or Hits Of The Year??

They did Cool for Cats. I don't think they did "Hits of the Year"; they mainly concentrated on stuff from the pre-"Difford & Tillbrook" years. I think the only post-1982 song they did was "Hourglass".
