Where the Emo Things Are

daddytoddSo, we saw "Where the Wild Things Are" yesterday afternoon. I can't ever remember seeing a movie that had more big, heavy sighs in it.
Or a worse load of shoegazing weepy emo folk-rock soundtrack.
It was well shot, the "Things" were great to look at, the acting was good -- the kid playing Max was really good. But I feel like the actors and filmmakers were let down by a bad script. Somebody get the screenwriters a prescription for Prozac!
I pretty much hated it, when I really, really wanted to like it.
