My theory about why "straight" men don't have sex with other men is this:

1) They're afraid that if the other males found about it, it would reduce their status in the pack.

2) They're afraid that if their females found out about it, they would use it as a weapon against them.

3) But mostly, they're afraid that they'd enjoy it so much they wouldn't care about 1) and 2).

If they could keep it on the "DL", they would do it a lot more often than they already do. I think "straight" married men used to have a lot more m2m action than they do these days.

It used to be nothing more than "gettin' your rocks off." These days, having sex with another man is seen as a declaration of identity, rather than a sex act.

In some ways, I miss the old days.

Well.... Maybe they actually are "straight" and could never have sex with a man, just like some gay men could never have sex with a woman *smile*

On the other hand here in my small town, I've been having sex with a straight married man for about 2 years now, and the latest topic we talked about was what would happened if he wife actually found out.

Oh, I think there are some men who don't want to have sex with other men, but I think they're actually in the minority. Because of rigidly defined sex roles, virtually every man who has ANY desire to have sex with women gets himself hitched to one, no matter how much he's RATHER be gettin' off with the boys. Those of us out here are the ones who have a lot less (or absolutely no) desire to breed with wimmen.

I'm convinced that, if there was no homosexuality taboo, most humans would have relationships with both sexes over the course of their lives. Maybe one day we'll live in such a world.
