Fucking brilliant. Loved it from start to finish. Go, see and enjoy!

Does anyone know how closely it follows the graphic novel? I think I read it like 20 years ago, but don't remember much beyond the Guy Fawkes mask.

I understand there are compromises in any adaptation, and some people are gonna react negatively because their favorite bit was not translated in the "right way." I have friends who hated the entire LotR trilogy because it did not inlcude Tom Bombadil, for example.

But taken as a film, I think V for Vendetta was great. It was a different experience from the graphic novel (which I don't remember anyway) and I think it works on just about every level. A friend who saw the movie with me thought it was "cheesy" because of the mask that V wore throughout the film. I thought the mask worked. Different strokes...
